Vision
Mixed media on cradled wooden panel, 9x12 inches. I added the extra piece of wood that's across the eyes before I was 100% sure what I was going to paint/draw. The whole piece (including the title) ended up being built around that chunk of wood.
The original is sold.
Side note: I always loved Jean-Michel Basquiat's paintings that were done on objects, boards cobbled together and other non-flat surfaces. He would either incorporate the obstacles into his work -- own them, or bulldoze through them. He was in control of whatever non-traditional painting surface was in front of him.
