This drawing asks the question: how do snowflakes feel about being snowflakes? These ones seem unsure, and probably need to think about it. (I drew this about six years ago).

Kindness is underrated. We could always use more of it. We tend to worship visionaries and creative people (like Steve Jobs and Pablo Picasso) and elevate them to the status of gods, even though they were often assholes (like Steve Jobs and Pablo Picasso). Stop praising the jerks. It reinforces bad behaviour (all the parents in the house know this).
When my wife and I had our own business (this was a loooooong time ago), we had a motto: only do business with nice people. It served us really well. We didn't get rich (a huge understatement!), but we did work on our terms, and by avoiding jerks (and turning down their business) we didn't get pushed around.
Just a few thoughts about something that, admittedly, deserves more than being printed on a t-shirt.
(Update: thanks for the post, Tina / Swiss Miss!)

I am pleased to be taking part in an exhibition called 100 Houses, to be held at Bristol’s Tobacco Factory in the UK for 2 weeks in November (see my contribution above). The exhibition entails 100 artists drawing/painting/doodling an image of a "house" and will be in support of the housing and homelessness charity Shelter. All of the pieces in the show are 10 x 10 inches.
UPDATE: my drawing is available for sale in the 100 Houses online shop.
The show opens on November 16th (tonight!), 8pm til midnight, and runs through til November 30th. All unsold artwork will be made available through a temporary online shop as of December 1st.
The show is organized by the talented, fearless and tireless Paul Roberts. Loads of amazing artists are involved, including Jack Teagle, Gemma Correll, Deth P Sun, Simon Peplow, Michael Sieben, Ben Javens, and tons more. I wish I could go, but it's a little far away from here. But if you're in the Bristol area, you must check it out.

All of this talk of "thinking outside the box" must mean that whatever is inside the box must be pretty awful.
Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. I'm in the middle of a big commission, so my output of drawings for the blog (and shop) has been next to nothing.

Another mask drawing. It must be on my mind, what with Halloween happening this week. I think we all put on masks, play roles, etc. By making the mask extra large, by emphasizing it, I'm hoping to not only make it look funny, but also show how silly we can be when we are pretending to be somebody else.
The corporate world is especially plagued by bullshit personalities. The online world as well, even in so-called 'indie' circles, there is a rash of fakers and posers, people pretending to be something they're not. And as annoying as it is, I get loads of material from it :)
