let's run amok

Let's make a mess. Taste a little chaos. Throw away the grid. Change the font. Spill the ink. Play the guitar with a missing string. Make art with cardoard boxes. Take a chance. Don't judge or question or filter it. Let it out. Make mistakes. Write with the wrong hand. Give it shot. Embrace imperfection. See what happens.

the Fidgety Furnishings of Roseberry Lane

The objects are restless.

I like the idea of furniture getting tired of sitting still, and jumping at the chance to go somewhere.

This is a series I've been playing around with for months, but haven't been able to figure out a decent way to format it until now. I hope to add to it over time.

Ink and watercolour, 8x10 inches each. As of this writing, three out of four of these were sold. The kitchen table drawing is available. All four drawings are sold.

Ink and watercolour, 5x7 inches. Original drawing is available.

Another drawing about books. And marketing.

I love going to bookstores and just looking at all the wonderfully designed covers (you can't do that on Amazon). Judging books by their covers makes me sound shallow, but I am in constant awe of the serious talent out there. It's an art form in itself.

That would be the best design job: cover designer. The closest I've ever come to it is this commission.
