drawings for 40 dollars

Yup.

You can buy a drawing for just 40 bucks for the next 6 days.

These are 'multiple originals', meaning that I will draw multiples of each. I'll make each one to order, and sign it. But after November 26, that's it, no more. See them all in the shop.

(40 dollars is about half of what they usually sell for.)

Here's the collection:

So why am I doing this? Well, I've been wanting to do a project like this for a while. I like the idea of making original art more accessible. So I created this series of 'nice things', which are some of my favourite things to draw. And I'm using the exact same materials that I use for my other originals.

My Shop Newsletter subscribers found out about it yesterday, and the response has already been bigger than I imagined. Thank you!

These are only going to be available until November 26. After that, they'll be gone. So get on it!

Sometimes it's easier to be ourselves when no one can see us, which would explain why we're more likely to sing in the shower than anywhere else. Sometimes it's liberating to play a role, to be a character.

Our avatars online are like masks. Mine is a drawing of a guy with antlers. Do I have antlers in real life? Last I time checked, nope. Am I myself online? Sort of. I show a part of me, not all sides of my personality.

When we are at work we want to show our professional side, not our goofy or party-animal or dark side. Maybe these masks makes life a bit more manageable.

In any case, identity is one of those topics I will always find fascinating.
